One Direction make Capital blunder
6:28pm Wednesday 22nd February 2012

One Direction have upset bosses at London radio station Capital FM after mistakenly thanking BBC Radio 1 following their success at the Brit Awards.
The heartthrob group landed their best single award thanks to the votes of Capital listeners, but singer Harry Styles bungled the acceptance speech.
Now the commercial station is understand to have dropped the group from its playlist after the snub. The group were also to have made an appearance on the station today but this was pulled.
One Direction beat Adele to the best single prize, with their hit What Makes You Beautiful.
But picking up the prize, Harry said a "massive thank you to Radio 1".
The BBC station had actually been involved with the prize for best breakthrough act instead.
A spokeswoman for Capital did not wish to comment on the incident.
