Make music with the Philharmonic in Ickenham
4:57pm Sunday 15th January 2012

MUSICIANS have a chance to join Hillingdon Philharmonic Orchestra for their spring concert by attending a Repertoire Day on January 29.
Players who have reached grade 7 and above are invited to experience playing with a full orchestra, without the pressure of performance.
The orchestra will play classical favourites including Dvořák’s New World Symphony, Fauré’s Pavane and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, then have the chance to join the orchestra for the upcoming concert.
The group has performed at some of London’s most prestigious venues, including Southwark Cathedral, and last July the group celebrated 25 years of music making.
The day will run from 10am-4pm at 1st Ickenham Scouts HQ, Community Close, Ickenham, UB10 8RE.
All instrumentalists can attend, with strings, clarinets, bassoons, brass and percussion players particularly welcome as the group has vacancies in these areas.
The day costs £12 plus an optional Chinese buffet lunch for £8.
